Ideal Standard Large Michelangelo Sink in Penthouse Red

An impressive retro basin and pedestal made by Ideal Standard and part of their Michelangelo range. The Michelangelo bathroom suite was first designed in the 1970s by Italian architect Paolo Tilche and became the first rectangular shaped bathroom suite to be sold in the British market. It became one of Ideal Standards best selling suites and possibly the largest selling luxury bathroom suite of all time, despite it being considered it a very unusual design at the time.

This particular basin and pedestal is in the exclusive Penthouse Red colour and would be well suited in a retro bathroom suite or as an impressive feature in one’s bathroom or cloakroom.

There are some age related marks to the basin and one very small chip, however there are no cracks or crazing and it has been fully restored.
