Beautiful Art Deco basin made by Edward Johns & Co, also known simply as Armitage Ware in the Armitage Blue colour with a very rare marble effect to the glaze.
This basin dates from the 1930s and is one of the first examples of coloured sanitaryware. It is in very good overall condition with very limited crazing and no major chips or cracks. Slight chip on the front of the basin above the soap recess but this is not particularly noticeable.
Supplied with restored primed brackets, period taps can be supplied with the basin at an extra cost.
